Ultimate weapons and gems
Ultimate is a weapon tier with its own upgrades and gem slots. Check that your weapon supports conversion; a high rarity tier alone does not make a weapon Ultimate.
Materials and conversion
Shining Orichalcum is made from 5 Sunstones and 5 Moonstones.
Weapon conversion uses a compatible weapon, the required gem and Shining Orichalcum. A Unique weapon must be +10 to convert to Ultimate. The successful conversion starts the Ultimate weapon at +0.
Conversion targets and chances can vary by weapon. Do not assume every weapon has a conversion or that a default table guarantees a particular attempt.
The general-to-Unique path can destroy the source weapon on failure. The Ultimate protection check applies to the supported Unique-to-Ultimate path; do not assume ordinary SProtect protects every conversion.
Ultimate upgrading
Use Shining Orichalcum and Scroll of XProtect for Ultimate upgrades. Unequip the weapon before attempting.

Failure can destroy the weapon without Ultimate protection. The material and active protection are consumed by the attempt.
Gem slots
An Ultimate weapon gains its first gem slot at +6 and one more per level through +10, for 5 slots total.
Gem creation consumes its source weapon, even when the creation attempt fails. Do not use a weapon you want to keep.
