Elements and enchanting
Element enchanting adds an element and an element upgrade level to supported weapons or suits. The maximum element level is 20.
Choose an element
| Element | Card |
|---|---|
| Fire | Flame Card |
| Water | River Card |
| Electricity | Generator Card |
| Earth | Desert Card |
| Wind | Cyclone Card |
The card must match the item's existing element when increasing its level. Use a Scroll of Element Change when changing an existing element.
Element advantages
| Your attack element | Strong against | Weak against |
|---|---|---|
| Fire | Wind | Water |
| Water | Fire | Electricity |
| Electricity | Water | Earth |
| Wind | Earth | Fire |
| Earth | Electricity | Wind |
Choose an element for the monsters you are actually fighting. A stronger element level does not remove an unfavorable matchup.
Failure and protection
Element upgrades have their own chance table. The first two targets are guaranteed; later attempts can fail.
If the item is already at element +3 or higher, an unprotected failure can destroy it. Use the appropriate protection or the safe elemental-upgrade path before risking valuable equipment. Normal +N and element +N are separate values.
The elemental success-boosting scroll is different from the ordinary Smelting scroll in this build. Read its description before using it.
Effects here
Element matchup damage and defense still apply. The optional extra stat-bonus line from elemental upgrading is disabled.
