Armor and weapon awakening
Awakening adds random bonus lines to armor, weapons and shields. Here, regular awakening supports helmets, suits, gauntlets, boots, weapons and shields.
How to use it
- Unequip the equipment you want to awaken.
- Use a Scroll of Awakening and select the piece.
- Read the resulting bonus lines before equipping it again.
A regular awakening rolls three options. The same stat can appear more than once.
Already-awakened equipment needs the appropriate cancellation or reroll item before you can replace its options. Cancelling removes the existing awakening; keep a useful result unless you are prepared to replace it.
Different slots have different options
| Slot | Available types of bonus |
|---|---|
| Helmet | STR, STA, DEX, INT, MP and FP |
| Gauntlets | Critical chance, attack, casting speed, attack speed, MP and FP |
| Boots | Critical damage, movement speed, defense, HP, MP and FP |
| Suit, weapons and shields | The broader regular armor option pool |
Choose effects that support how you fight. A casting bonus is not interchangeable with a physical attack bonus.
Two-handed weapons
New awakening rolls on two-handed weapons double the positive stat values at the same odds. For example, STR +25 becomes +50 and attack +200 becomes +400. HP, MP and FP keep their normal values. One-handed weapons and shields use normal values. Existing awakening lines are unchanged until rerolled.
Automatic single-line rerolls use the same rule; the target limits and maximum-roll highlights match the doubled values.
Separate systems
Fashion Blessing, pet random options, gear rarity and the Weapon Stat Wheel use different rules.
