Leveling and stats
Follow the quest chain for a clear leveling objective. The tracker shows what to hunt next and when you need more levels.
Spend your stat points
Open your character window to allocate points. The normal leveling table grants 2 stat points per level; Master and Hero characters receive an additional point on level-up.
| Stat | What it helps |
|---|---|
| STR | Physical attack with swords, axes, knuckles and yoyos |
| DEX | Bow attack, accuracy and critical chance |
| INT | Magic-related attack and MP |
| STA | HP and FP |
The exact benefit depends on your class, weapon and skills. Read your skill descriptions before spending points; the same stat split does not suit every class.
Progression stops
- 15: choose your first job.
- 60: choose your second job.
- 120: fill the EXP bar to 99.99% and promote to Master.
- 120 as Master: fill the bar again and promote to Hero.
- 140 as Hero: the current level cap.
Master promotion returns you to level 60. Hero promotion starts you at 121. See jobs and promotion.
Hero experience milestones
| Level step | Raw XP required |
|---|---|
| 129 → 130 | 53,401,830,076 |
| 139 → 140 | 140,538,532,070 |
The unmultiplied table totals approximately 215 billion XP from 1 to 120 and 1,519 billion XP from 1 to 140. With the Master and Hero promotion resets, the full journey totals approximately 1,711 billion XP before rates and tier adjustments. Party EXP levels the party; it is not an extra multiplier on every character reward.
Respec
Re-Stat resets all four stats to their base value of 15 and refunds your invested stat points. There are also single-stat and partial-reset items; read the particular item's description before using it.
A stat reset does not change your class or the class skills you receive. Class skills are automatically leveled when added in this build; see skills.
A Re-Stat is listed among the level-40 beta milestone rewards.
Before choosing harder monsters
Check whether your attacks hit reliably, whether you survive a few hits, and whether you can sustain your skills. Improving equipment and using appropriate recovery items can help before you spend more points.
